Mr. Robert Christopher Williams was born on September 21, 1981, in Greenville, South Carolina to Christopher (Kaye) Williams and the late Jacqueline T. McGowan.
He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina where he graduated in the Clinton High School Class 2000. After high school, he furthered his education at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina.
At an early age, he was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Clinton, South Carolina and later became a member of Goldenview Baptist Church in Fountain Inn, South Carolina where he was a member of the Usher Board and Parking Lot Ministries. In addition to his love for his family, "Bobby" as he was lovingly called, was as avid Pittsburg Steelers fan. He was employed with DDA Draxlmaier Automotive in Duncan, South Carolina.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Robert and Wilhemenia Thompson; his paternal grandparents: Willie and Thelma Williams; two aunts: Sylvia T. Redfield and Maybell R. Long; and four uncles: Roger Williams, David Williams, Phillip Williams, and Michael Williams.
On Saturday, January 23, 2022, Mr. Robert Christopher Williams was received into eternity at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in Spartanburg, South Carolina at the age of forty.
"Bobby" leaves to cherish fond memories, in addition to his father, his brother, Christopher (Bam) Williams of Whitmire, SC; one sister, Tawanna Thompson of Clinton, SC; three godchildren: Jashaiya McGowan, Nicholai McGowan, and Jasmine McGowan all of Clinton, SC; three aunts: Frances (Alex) Harris of Clinton, SC, Bessie Williams of Laurens, SC, Wanda Vanlue Williams of Whitmire, SC; five uncles: Dr. Terry (Audrey) Thompson of Washington, DC, Michael Thompson of Clinton, SC; Donald Thompson of Laurens, SC, William Long of Clinton, SC, and James Long of Clinton, SC; two special cousins: Sonja Long of Clinton, SC and Michael "Bric" Williams of Laurens, SC; a host of other relatives and many friends who will miss him dearly.
