Mrs. Sarah Mae Waldon was born on November 9, 1947 in Newberry, South Carolina to Simmie Reeder, Sr. and Marie Y. Reeder.
She attended the public schools of Newberry County, South Carolina and was a graduate of Gallman High School.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her long-term companion, James Dillard; two brothers: Tommy Reeder and Bennie Reeder; two sisters: Betty Dewalt and Mattie Wesley; and two nephews: Demetrius Dewalt and Jarvis Dewalt.
On Thursday, October 28, 2021, Mrs. Sarah Mae Waldon departed this life at National HealthCare of Clinton in Clinton, South Carolina to begin her walk with Jesus at the age of seventy-three.
She leaves to forever cherish her memories, two daughters: Diane Waldon and Zandra Waldon both of Clinton, SC; one son, Erskine (Chandra) Waldon; five grandchildren: Tamesha (Johnny) Young of Laurens, SC, Tyrez (Jaquanza) Waldon of Clinton, SC, Derrick (Sabbie) Waldon of Laurens, SC, Zarius Hurley of Clinton, SC, and Iyonna Waldon of Laurens, SC; eight great-grandchildren: Jhi'cere Waldon, ZaMaria Vance, Jy'maja Young, Jy'mier Young, Jaden Young, Wynter Waldon, Ziyla Waldon, and A'sayan Waldon; one sister, Linda Davis; one brother, Simmie (Patricia) Reeder, Jr. of Newberry, SC; one uncle, Reverend James Robinson of Abbeville, SC; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
