Shannon Teressa McGowan

Ms. Shannon Teressa McGowan was born on September 26, 1974 in Laurens County, South Carolina to Robert Lee McGowan, Sr. and the late Rosa Mae Rice McGowan.

She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina.

At an early age, she joined the Duncan Creek Baptist Church in Laurens, South Carolina.

Shannon was formerly employed at Dispoz-I-Plastics, Inc, in Fountain Inn, South Carolina.

On Monday, February 06, 2023, at the Medical University in Charleston, South Carolina, Ms. Shannon Teressa McGowan departed this life and entered Eternal Rest at the age of forty-eight.

In addition to her father, Robert Lee McGowan, Sr. of the home, she leaves to cherish her loving memories her two sons: Akevius McGowan and Kemarion McGowan; five brothers: Robert (Lucy) McGowan, Jr., Jamie McGowan, Jason (Tanist) McGowan, Anthony McGowan, and Joshua (Alicia) McGowan; three sisters: Shirley McGowan, Stephanie (Rakim) McGowan, and Sabrina Carwise; a special aunt, Jannie Rice; a special uncle, Izell McGowan; a special great aunt, Elizabeth Rice; two special cousins; Melissa Thompson and Beverly McGowan Jones; a special friend, Curtis Shippy of Laurens, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
