Stanley Reeder III Obituary

Mr. Stanley Leroy Reeder III was born on January 16, 1990, in Laurens County, South Carolina, to Stanley Leroy Reeder Sr. and Angela Young.

He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina where he was a graduate of the Clinton High School Class of 2008.

Thurston, as he was lovingly called, was a jack of all trades. There was nothing he couldn't figure out, fix, or finesse with that special touch only he had. If it was broken, he was determined to get it going again.

He loved his family, even when things weren't always perfect - his love showed up! He was unapologetically himself, bold, funny, and didn't mind being different. That's what made him unforgettable. There was never a dull moment to be had around Thurston. He was full of life, jokes, and plenty of laughter.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Herbert and Lillian Ree Sanders and Lewis and Effie Simpson; and one uncle Robert Sanders.

On Sunday, June 29, 2025, Mr. Stanley Leroy Reeder transitioned from labor to reward at Saint Francis Downtown in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of 35.

In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his fond memories to his daughter: Amira Reeder; three brothers: Chetyuane (Sherrill) Reeder, Stanley Reeder Jr., and Marcus Young; two sisters: Katrina (Steve Lynch) Reeder, Juanita Reeder; his step mother: Mary Reeder; five uncles: Herbert (Brenda) Young, Charles Simpson, Lester (Thelma Darby) Sanders, William (Tomekia) Jones, Keith Mims, and Raymond (Azalee) Reid; ten aunts: Gloria Sanders, Belinda Tribble, Lahomia Mims, Cheryl Simpson, Dianne Simpson, Andrea Simpson, Lisa Simpson, Deborah Burns, Regina Mims, Leomia (James) Butler, and Donna (Voyd) Fincher; four neices: Savannah Reeder, Brittane Neely, Marquita Reeder, and JaQuisha Reeder; four nephews: Dashun Reeder, Jalen Reeder, Jamir Reeder, and Japelle Reeder; three special cousins reared in the home: Jalisa Cunningham, Anson Cunningham, and Branderius Simpson; two devoted friends: Aysia Samuels and Keshia Yeargin; three devoted cousins:  Theopia Golden, Willie Jo Golden, and Dorothy Golden; and a host of other relatives and friends.
