Mr. Terence Craig Foggie was born on April 17, 1960 in Laurens County, South Carolina to Robert Foggie and Lucille Cook Foggie. On Friday, July 19, 2024, at the House of Hospice and Palliative Care of Piedmont of Greenwood, South Carolina, Mr. Terence Craig Foggie departed this earthly life and entered Eternal Rest at the age of sixty-four.
He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and was a proud graduate of the Laurens District 55 High School Class of 1978. After graduation, he furthered his education at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, South Carolina graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Machinery.
At an early age, “Terry,” as he was so fondly known by family and friends, joined the St. John Baptist Church in Cross Hill, South Carolina. He truly loved the Lord, his family, and his friends.
Terence was employed by Bosch Rexroth Company of Fountain Inn, South Carolina for twenty-one years until his health declined.
He never met a stranger and was loved by so many people. He was also a musician for Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Greenwood, South Carolina and St. John Baptist Church in Cross Hill, South Carolina until his health declined. Terry loved music and enjoyed playing the bass guitar. He enjoyed watching sports of his favorite teams: Carolina Panthers and USC Gamecocks. He was dedicated and played for the United Voices for Christ for thirty years and over five years for the Gospel Prophets of Woodruff, South Carolina. Terry had a passion for fashion, he loved to shop, and he also had a love for purchasing guitars.
Preceding him in death are his brother, Michael Randolph Foggie; paternal grandparents: Ella Mae and Henry Foggie; and maternal grandparents: Fannie Mae Mitchell and Odell Cook, Sr.
Those celebrating his life and cherishing precious memories of Terry are his loving and devoted wife of twenty-six years, Bessie Pitts Foggie of Waterloo, SC; two sons: Terrez Sharkee Foggie of the home and Xavier Foggie of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, La’Peaches Pitts (Myron) Smoot of Fountain Inn, SC; his dedicated parents: Lucille Cook Foggie of Waterloo, SC and Robert Foggie of Laurens, SC; five sisters: Gloria Callahan of Greenwood, SC, Rosalyn Foggie of Waterloo, SC, Candra Foggie of Duncan, SC, ShaRobbi Foggie of Laurens, SC, and Audrey Makins of Simpsonville, SC; one grandchild, Logan Markese Williams of Fountain Inn, SC; six brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; three uncles: Willie James (Ella) Cook of Cross Hill, SC, Leroy Foggie of Waterloo, SC, and Bobby (Catherine) Foggie of Waterloo, SC; a devoted nephew, Terrance “Man” Croft-Foggie of Harlem, NY; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who all loved him dearly.
