Mrs. Thelma McDaniel Hunter was born to the late Ruth Pitts and Walter McDaniel, Sr. on February 10, 1947, in Laurens, South Carolina.
She was a member of White Plains Baptist Church in Mountville, South Carolina.
Thelma attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina where she was a graduate of Sanders High School.
She was formerly employed for ten years as a Production Associate for Avery Dennison in Clinton, South Carolina.
Thelma had a great love for her family as well as traveling, playing basketball, bingo, and the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cardell Hunter; one son, Earl Fitzgerald Hunter; one sister, Bennie Ruth Williams; and one brother, Walter McDaniel, Jr.
On Thursday, March 14, 2024, Mrs. Thelma Hunter entered into eternal rest at the Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of seventy-seven.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her son, Christopher (Almetra McGee) Hunter of Mauldin, SC; her stepdaughter, Tamika Hunter of Laurens, SC; three grandchildren: A’Najhia Fleming, A’Zareya Smith, and A’Jayceon Hunter; one brother, Mathew (Sharon) McDaniel of Laurens, SC, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
