Mr. Thurston Robert Sanders was born September 25, 1949, in Laurens South Carolina to the late Ulysses Griffin and Eva Sanders Fuller.
He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina where he was a graduate of the Bell Street High School in Clinton, South Carolina.
Thurston, lovingly known as Bob and Bobby, formerly of Clinton, South Carolina, was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Clinton, South Carolina where he was a Sunday School Member, Trustee and Deacon and also served in the United States Air Force.
Bob had a great love for his family and friends as well as the Atlanta Braves, the Carolina Panthers and playing games on his tablet.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; Hubert and Willie Ree Sanders: and his previous wife and the mother of his children, Christine Davis Sanders.
Mr. Thurston Robert Sanders entered into eternal rest at Self Regional Healthcare Hospital in Greenwood, South Carolina at the age of 75.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Gloria Aiken Sanders; his son, Damon Sanders of Newberry, South Carolina; his daughter, Dionne (Ian) Noel of Spartanburg, South Carolina; his brother, Herbert (Brenda) Young of Simpsonville, South Carolina; his sister, Angela Young of Laurens, South Carolina; his devoted nephews, Travin Aiken of Donalds, South Carolina, Ja’Darius Smith of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; his aunts, Dr. Lillie S. Adams of Baltimore, Maryland, Phyllis (John) Price of Clinton, South Carolina; his brothers in law, James (Rose) Garlington of Brooklyn, New York, Harold Garlington of Florida, Keith Aiken of Due West, South Carolina, Perry Aiken of Due West, South Carolina; his sisters in law, Allison Aiken of Donalds, South Carolina, Wanda Thomas of Ware Shoals, South Carolina; his devoted cousin, Maxie (Theopolis) Rice; his devoted family friend, Sanita (Elijah) Cousar of Columbia, South Carolina, a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
