Mrs. Valerie Price Anderson was born in Clinton, South Carolina on November 18, 1955, to the late George Thomas and Cora Mamie Dillard Price.
She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina, and was a Clinton High School graduate of the Class of 1974.
Valerie joined the Springfield Baptist Church in Clinton, South Carolina, at an early age . She served as a dedicated member of the Missionary, kitchen Committee as well as the Inspirational Choir.
She was employed as a Spinner at the Clinton Cotton Mill for over twenty years. Following the close of the Clinton Mills, she was employed by M.S. Bailey and Son Bank, The Palmetto Bank for over 20 years, as well as the Laurens County Magistrate Court's office, where she had an additional five years of service.
In addition to her parents, Valerie was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Anderson, as well as a special aunt, Josephine Gary.
Valerie departed her earthly life on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at her home in Clinton, South Carolina. Continuing her service until her final fays, her greatest joys came from time spent with her family and in fellowship with her church.
She leaves to cherish her fond memories two daughters: Crystal (Roderick) Byrd and Tiffany (Mack) Rice; six grandchildren: Christopher Rakeem Price, Jeilyn Byrd, Crysten Byrd, Matthew Jayden Rice, Madison Rice, and Makayla Rice; two brothers: Ernest (Sara) Price, James Earl Price; two sisters, Ernestine (Donald Sr) Simpson, Debbie Burnside; as well as a host of many other relatives and friends.
