Varnell (Richard) Jones

Ms. Varnell Richard Jones, 64, of 524 Puckett Ferry Road, Cross Hill, SC., entered her enternal home, Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her home.

Born in Cross Hill, SC., she was a daughter of the late Wardell Richard and Lillie K. Canon Richard.  Varnell  joined St. Vaughnville Baptist Church in Chappells, SC., at an early age, where she was a member of the Women Aid Society #49.

She attended the Laurens County Schools.  Varnell was formerly an employee of Monsanto/Solutia Company for over 30 years, until her retirement.

She is survived by her loving Mother Lillie K. Canon Richard of Cross Hill, one sister; Delois R. Lindsay of Cross Hill, three brothers, Tommy (Dorothy) Richard, Clyde and Earl Richard all of Cross Hill, SC., six nieces, Tammy Lindsay, Rachel Stephens, Beverly Jones, Talisha Richard, Kimberly Dixon, Quavonna Richard, two nephews, James Lindsay and Ealwinne Richard. Two brothers-in-law, Larry Jones of Clinton, SC., Barry Jones of Newberry, SC., four sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Marvin) Farrow of Chappells, Bonnie (Keith) Smalls of New York, NY, Sylvia (Joe) Robinson of Chappells, SC., and Valeria Jones of Johnson, SC.  Two aunts, Mamie B. Richard of Cross Hill, SC., and Ruth Richard of Philadelpia, PA. One godchild, Shamarria Lindsay.  Three devoted friends, Mildred Belcher, Jenniel Carter, Linda Suber and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
