Ms. Viola Fuller Bluford was born on May 28, 1925 in Laurens, South Carolina to the late Earl Fuller and Wesley Lee Davis Fuller.
A TIME TO LOVE
At an early age, Viola married Sam Bluford, Jr, and from that union, seven children were born: Howard, Mary Jane, Gloria Ann, Clara Pearl, Bobby, Velma, and Denise.
As a lifelong member of New Grove Baptist Church in Laurens, South Carolina, she worked and served the Lord faithfully as she used her beautiful voice on the Gospel Choir for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; her grandson, Bobby Jr.; a great grandson and a great granddaughter; ten sisters: Annie Mae Whitmire, Grace Lee Pyles, Rosebell McDonald, Sarah Winford, Jessie Pearl Hunter, France Evans, Odessa Tucker, Willie B. Simpson, Bernice Robertson, and Bertha Shands; and seven brothers: Fred Fuller, J. C. Fuller, Joe Fuller, David Fuller, Joe Fuller, and Bennie Fuller, and Lindsey Bailey.
A TIME TO GO HOME
Gracefully, on Tuesday morning, May 11, 2021, at Prisma health Laurens Hospital in Laurens, South Carolina, Ms. Viola Fuller Bluford answered a call from Heaven and began her Eternal Rest at the age of ninety-five.
A TIME TO GO MOURN
Viola leaves to cherish her precious memory, two sons: Howard Bluford of Laurens, SC and Bobby (Joaan) Bluford of Gray Court, SC; five daughters: Mary J. Scurry, Gloria Bluford Darby, Clara P. Bluford, Velma Bluford, and Denise Bryant all of Laurens, SC; seven grandchildren: Gerald, Karen, Cheryl, Cedric, Crystal, seven grandchildren: Gerald, Karen, Cheryl, Cedric, Crystal, Tiffany (Van), and Tabatha; fourteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Minnie Watts of Greenwood, SC; two brothers-in-law; Chester Frances and Reverend Willie (Virginia) Bluford both of Columbus, OH; one sister-in-law, Betty (J.C.) Smoot of Greenwood, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly.
