Vivian Denise Patterson

She was a strong, self-less, caring, independent, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Vivian was educated in the public school system of Laurens 55 and a 1979 graduate of Laurens High School. She accepted Christ early in her life and became a member of the White Plains Baptist Church in Mountville S.C.

She was a dedicated and hardworking employee of Walmart, store 1130, for 27 years, where she served as Toy Department manager.

Vivian's passion in life was to care for her grandchildren that she adored and helped raise, nurtured, and loved unconditionally. Her second love was baking. She was a self-taught creative cake decorator and all-around baker. Vivian enjoyed being able to often display her creative and unique skills for her family on their special occasions. Some of the skills she developed came from her love of the various shows she enjoyed watching on the Food Network. Each and every desert or treat was made with love.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents the late Marion V. and Marigene K. Patterson. 

She was survived by Children: Devario (Taja) Burnside, Delachina Burnside, and Denia Goggins. Grandchildren: Desirae Burnside, Ja'Kyson Hamilton, Mizaya Hamilton, and Tru Burnside. Siblings: Sonia Patterson, Manley Patterson, Priscilla Patterson, Marion Jr. (Diane) Patterson, and Ollie Patterson. Her "Nurse Betty" Fikisha Patterson. Devoted friend and co-worker, Annette Williams.
