Mr. Wesley Lee Cromer Sr. was born April 1, 1948, in Laurens County, South Carolina to the late Willie Cromer and Mary L. Cromer.
He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Cross Hill, South Carolina.
Wesley was employed for many years for the different cotton mills in Joanna, South Carolina as well as Clinton, South Carolina until his health began to fail. He loved spending time with his family, football, and baseball - especially the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Othella L. Copeland Cromer; one son, Wesley Cromer Jr.; two sisters: Mamie Lee Cromer and Orrie Bell Rivers; and two brothers: Johnny Walter Cromer and Willie Earl Cromer.
On Friday, January 05, 2024, Mr. Wesley Lee Cromer departed this life at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital in Clinton, South Carolina, at the age of seventy-five.
He leaves his precious memories to be cherished by his two sons: Robert Goggins and George Cromer both of Joanna, SC; four daughters: Ritty (Corey) Cromer Gallman and Allie Schafer both of Georgia, Joy (George) Scurry of Clinton, SC, and Shirley (Murdock) Spurgeon of Simpsonville, SC, six stepchildren: Tyrone Copeland and Richard Copeland both of Laurens, SC, Robin Choice of Simpsonville, SC, Willie Copeland of Waterloo, SC, Katherine Gibbs of Greenville, SC, and Sherri Goggins of Clinton, SC; grandchildren; great grandchildren; one brother, Ulysses Cromer; one sister, Jessie Cromer Saunders; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
