Mr. Willie Lee Simpson was born January 07, 1952 in Laurens County, South Carolina to Mary Lee "Dot" Simpson and the late Willie B. Simpson.
He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and was a graduate of the Sanders High School Class of 1969.
Willie was a member of Burning Hope Ministries in Laurens, South Carolina, where he was a Deacon. As well, he was an affiliated member of Heart to Heart Ministries in Greenville, South Carolina and Bethel Grove AME Church in Gray Court , South Carolina.
He was employed with the Pepsi Cola Company in Greenville, South Carolina, South Carolina and later retired.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents: W.T. :Bub" and Eminter Brown and John and Queenie Mae Simpson.
On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Mr. Willie Lee Simpson departed this life at his home in Laurens County, South Carolina and entered Eternal Rest at the age of seventy-=three.
In addition to his mother, he leaves his cherished memories to his daughter, Pastor Monicka (Eric Coleman)Thompson and Latasha Duncan; one sister, Rose Marie (David Campbell Jr.) Simpson; two grandchildren, Keyiojah Austin and Rakevius Thompson; two great grandchildren, Honesty Austin and Drayce Thomas; four aunts, Mattie Madden, Mary Lomax, Margaret Simpson and Joyce Brown; one uncle, Henry Simpson; two niece, Sasha Simpson and Willena (Zachary) Vance; seven nephews, Kaiden Austin, Khylan Austin, Kaisyn Austin, Zachary Vance Jr., Zavier Vance, Zakari Vance, and Brandon Chapman. his devoted special cousin reared in the home, Jesse Pressley, Thomas Shell, and Alexia Simpson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
