Born in Laurens County, South Carolina, on September 1, 1950.  He was the son of late, Mr. Willie J. Williams, Sr. and Mrs. Bertha Bailey Shands.

Proceeded in the death by his wife; Mrs.  Barbara Redd Williams, A daughter; Ms. Christina Powers, A stepson; Johnny Powers and two brothers; Mr.Johnny Shands and Mr. Willie Shands.

He leaves to cherish his Memory five daughters; Mrs. Debra (Eugene) Kinard, Ms. Mary Redd, Ms. Barbara Redd, Ms. Bertha Williams, Ms. Angela Williams all of Laurens, SC., two sons; Mr. Micheal Shumate, and Mr. Timothy Rice all of Laurens, SC., Mrs. Maggie Robinson of Clinton, SC., two brothers; Mr. Darnell (Sandra) Shands, Mr. Leroy (Sonya) Shands of Laurens, SC; Favorite sister-in-law; Jackie Evans Redd of Laurens; SC, Great uncle; John H. Williams of Waterloo, SC, twenty-four grands and forty-nine great-grands, and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
